What Awaits Now

Nature can restore
connections to life’s rhythms
if one can but hear.

Slowly I begin
listening to the pelting
raindrops descending.

This time to reset
now in the present moment
chases gloom away.

I keep resetting and hoping one of those resets will take.

HI JUDY - great poem and imagery. I too reset, quite often. Some times I hang in a 'less than full power mode' and manage and then I come back to where I was prior. I am always so afraid I will never fully reset. Truth be told? I think my reset is less than what it was, ya, that's the truth. So my new abnormal normal has become normal.
Love to you

I love the sound of rain, it's very soothing and has a meditative quality about it.

Gail, one of the resets is acknowledging the change in normal.

Kim, the sound of raindrops was one of the first peaceful signs I began to hear as my recent crisis calmed down.

Karen, yes, it became meditative.

Kim, I meant sounds, not signs.
