The Aching Truth

My heart aches for us.
While meeting challenge bravely,
we still face a wall.

Who can understand
how hard sustaining hope is
with our daunting odds?

I aim to pull through
past daily looming despair,
somehow finding light.

HI JUDY - few understand beyond those like us. I pull to the light every day, often caught in the shadow where I stay.
Love to you

You're so right that trying to cling to hope can be difficult. I can't despair, but as time goes on, I'm not sure I'm really hoping anymore.
Peace,
Muff

Unbelievable poem, Judy. This encapsulates so much! You have an admirable knack for being relentlessly real while maintaining the glimmer of hope to keep us all moving forward. Thank you! Dan

Gail, others' comprehension helps me in my intention to pull toward the light.

Muff, I do not minimize the difficulty of holding on to hope. There are many moments when I fall into despair but then somehow I course correct and embrace hope again.

Dan, your words really capture what I am trying to do with this blog and these poems. And you said it so beautifully!
