Lighting the Path

Joy and gratitude,
darkness transformed into light,
these I seek to find.

My goals and actions,
in real life they may conflict.
I am fallible.

A torchlight of goals
illuminates a dark path
despite its flicker.

I find that my goals have changed...a lot, but I am thankful for what I can achieve. Joy lights the way now. Even on the darkest day, I seek joy and can usually find it, even if it's just a glimmer.

As I wrote a while ago, I, too, want to find joy in my life. Sometimes I get bogged down with all the dark issues surrounding me, but when I actively seek the light, I can find joy!
Peace,
Muff
P.S. I didn't get to comment on yesterday's poem -- crying is not my style, but at times, a good cathartic gully washer brings me around. Then I can smile again!

I have been better at looking for those small things that made me smile lately - just to get through the day

Karen, I thrive on those glimmers. At the bottom of my blog, it says, "I look for the glimmer I can catch in the instance of its existence.

Muff, it is easy to get bogged down. I hope I never forget that there is joy to be found.

Anne, I hope you find more smiles.
