If Only

Weather forecasts try.
They really aim to reduce
daily surprises.

An entire science
developed to narrow chance,
its messy outcomes.

If only science
could prognosticate with ease
what MS will do.

HI JUDY,
if only, indeed......and yet, if I knew I might tremble in the 'know',
Loving you
Gail

Well, maybe there eventually will be such a science. Then, again, do I really want to know? Which is worse -- not knowing what the future holds, and fearing it, or knowing it, and dreading it even more? Just rhetorical...
Peace,
Muff

Ms, as predictable as the weather...

Gail, Muff, and Karen,

I guess it's just how I am, but I believe I can adjust to almost any circumstance if I just knew what it was. So that argues for knowing ahead of time, against which both Gail and Muff caution that maybe it's knowledge that might cause more fear. Then of course Karen reminds us too that the nature of this disease is unpredictability, in effect cautioning against expecting its predictability. But, like the variable weather, improving forecasting ability has made it easier to prepare for such things as hurricanes and floods, with significant benefits. In the meantime, I'll just keep hoping and doing everything I can that is within my control to improve my health and provide my body with all the reserves it needs to battle this disease.
